 UTL`s E-Rickshaw battery charger is SMPS based charger which is highly efficient and consumes very little power. Unlike SCR based charger, it takes less power from the Mains supply. It is embed with a feature that determine the battery profile and charge the battery accordingly.

UTL’s E-Rickshaw Battery Charger is highly reliable, efficient and easily installable. It is provided with various protection features which make it highly reliable. It can provide efficiency up to 90%. User can easily connect the charger with the batteries without any hustle. It has the capability to charge a battery which goes in to the deep discharge condition. This is one of the features which make it different from other brands.

 
 
 1. Connect batteries to the Charger
     • Check the polarity of connector at rickshaw.
     • Check both connector polarities, if it is same then connect the connectors.

2. Change the AC fuse
    • AC Fuse soldered on top side of PCB
    • Replace the damaged fuse with a new one of the same rating. Extra fuses are peste with input lead.

3. Change the DC fuse
    • At the back of the charger take the damaged fuse out by pulling it.
    • Replace the damaged fuse with a new one of the same rating. Extra fuses are provided with battery connector.
    • Put the fuse back as it was before.

4. Connect Mains
    • To connect Mains with the charger a 3 Pin Indian lead is provided.
    • Insert the plug of the charger in to the socket outlet of the distribution board.

5. Check battery voltage and current
    • Connect charger connector to the Rickshaw with male connector.
    • Check battery voltage at output voltmeter front side of charger
    • Press reset switch and check the charging current at the meter.

6. Check charger voltage
    • Disconnect the charger connector from the Rickshaw.
    • Check the charger voltage at voltmeter in front side.
