Indian Series UPS from the house of UTL is a relatively new concept in the power sector. Indian series UPS packs all the features of an Online UPS in a compact form factor, further being transformer-less the Indian series is extremely light and portable, making it easily installed in homes or even in offices. UTL’s Indian Series range of Online UPS is a powerful, affordable and reliable backup option for your appliances. 

Available from the range of 1 kVA in the DC voltages 12 & 36 volts, the Indian Series range of UPS is a product that is capable of taking care of the backup needs of your computers along with the other appliances.

 


 
 

1. System not turning on
a) Check Battery Terminals & Wire
• Check if the terminals of the battery attached has any kind of deposits on them.
• If there is, clean the terminals with the help of non-water based solvent.
• Check the wire connecting the battery to the UPS.
• Change if faulty.

b) Check the Dc Fuse
• Check the fuse marked DC located at the back of Deep Impact
• Change the fuse if required.

c) Check the AC Fuse
• Check the fuse marked AC located at the back of the UPS
• Change the fuse if required.

2. No Output (Sensing low battery)
a) Battery connection may not be proper
Connections at battery terminals may not be proper.
• Ensure that the connections are neat and tight.


b) Deposition at the terminals
Check if there is Carbonation/sulphation on the battery Terminals.
• Clean with non-water based solvent


3. Battery not charging
a) Connecting Wire may be faulty
• Check the wire connecting the battery to the ups
• Change the wire if faulty.
• Make sure the connections are tight.


4. Battery may be deeply discharged
• Switch off the UPS
• Recharge the batteries when the Mains are present.
• Switch Deep Impact back ON when the Mains are present

1. Connect battery to the UPS
      Check the battery’s polarity.
    •  Connect the red wire to the positive terminal and the black wire with the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Change the AC Fuse
    •  At the back of the UPS remove fuse holder cap by rotating it, take the damaged fuse out.
    •  Replace the damaged fuse with a new one of the same rating. Extra fuses are provided in the fuse box.
    •  Put the fuse holder cap as it was before.

3. Change the DC Fuse
    •
  At the back of the UPS take the damaged fuse out by pulling it.
    •  Replace the damaged fuse with a new one of the same rating. Extra fuses are provided in the fuse box.
    •  Put the fuse back as it was before.

4. Bypassing the Current
    •
  Take off the Mains input lead from Deep Impact’s input socket.
    •  Take off the wire plug inserted in the output socket of UTL’s Deep Impact
    •  Insert the plug back into the same Mains socket in which the mains input lead was inserted.
